Christina Anderson MS, RDN, CSSD, CSP Season 1 Episode 135

Is it a rebuilding season for your gymnast this year? It’s hard to sit on the sidelines when everyone else is competing.

We have a LOT of gymnasts in this situation right now, and honestly I am so grateful we get to support them. They are taking advantage of an unfortunate situation to dial in their fueling to support health and a strong comeback).

And for many, it was wakeup call to the fact their nutrition wasn't adequate to support everything they were trying to do in and out of the gym.

If you want to help your gymnast not just get through, but power through this rebuilding season and come back stronger than ever, today's episode is a must listen.

In this episode you'll hear about:

  • Injuries...freak accident, overuse, or blindsided overuse
  • Health issues that could be sidelining your gymnast (respiratory, chronic, overtraining/fatigue to name a few)
  • Mental blocks and word on anxiety, pressure, competition
  • Repeating levels and why it's not always a bad thing
  • Growth spurts; everyone goes through growth and development, including gymnasts, and we should approach it from a neutral perspective.
